Participant Reviews
From the People Who Attended
"I had been paying premiums on three policies for eleven years and genuinely had not read any of them properly. The first session alone helped me find an exclusion I did not know existed. It felt more useful than a year of ignoring those documents."

"The Right-Sizing course was the push I needed to actually sit down with my documents. I had assumed my medical card was adequate. The coverage worksheet showed me exactly where it was not. The adviser consultation that followed was calm and practical."

"My husband and I both attended the Comprehensive Programme. Having a named adviser across four months meant we could build on what we discussed each time. We ended with an actual written household plan. That felt substantial."

"I was expecting it to be a sales exercise. It was not. Nobody pushed anything at me across the entire three weeks. The instructor was methodical and patient, and the checklist they posted beforehand was genuinely useful before we even began."

"The takaful section in the intermediate course addressed something my earlier research could not. I hold a family takaful plan and had always wondered how it worked alongside my wife's group employer cover. The session clarified that for us."

"The 90-minute limit was important to me. I work until seven most evenings. Knowing the session would end on time meant I could commit properly. I came away from the Reading Policies course with a short list of questions I still need to ask my insurer."

Case Studies
Three Households, Three Situations
Case Study 1
A Household Holding Policies They Had Never Read
The Situation
A couple in their late 40s in Subang Jaya held four separate policies between them. They had purchased all four through different agents over fifteen years and had never compared the coverage. They were uncertain whether they were double-covered in some areas and underprotected in others.
What They Did
They enrolled in the Reading Policies course together. Using the printed checklists, they worked through all four documents across the three weeks. The included adviser consultation identified two overlapping critical illness riders and a life sum assured that had not been reviewed since they took on a property loan.
What Changed
They had a written summary of their four policies, understood the exclusions that applied to each, and had a list of specific questions to bring to their agents. They later enrolled in the Right-Sizing course to address the gaps identified. The process took about eight weeks total.
Case Study 2
Understanding EPF Alongside Private Coverage
The Situation
A civil servant in her early 50s in Petaling Jaya held a private medical card and also received group cover through her employer. She was preparing for retirement in five years and did not know what would happen to her medical coverage once she stopped working.
What She Did
She attended the Right-Sizing course. The EPF and SOCSO integration sessions gave her a clearer picture of what public-sector retirement entitlements covered for healthcare and what would need to be maintained through private insurance after her employment ended.
What Changed
She identified that her medical card co-payment structure would increase significantly after a scheduled industry revision. She had time — roughly four years — to decide how to address that. She left with a coverage worksheet and a clear sense of the decision she needed to make.
Case Study 3
Building a Written Household Protection Plan
The Situation
A family business owner in his mid-50s in Cheras wanted a single document that brought together his personal policies, his spouse's coverage, his business keyperson insurance, and his beneficiary arrangements. No single adviser had ever looked at all of these together.
What He Did
He enrolled in the Comprehensive Household Protection Programme. Working with a dedicated licensed adviser over four months, he reviewed each policy in turn, completed the beneficiary review template, and attended the healthcare cost forecasting session, which he found directly applicable to his situation.
What Changed
He left with a hardbound household protection binder covering seven policies, an updated beneficiary nomination record, and a written note of three actions he intended to take in the following year. He described it as the first time his coverage had all been in one place.
